Correction — temporary, relatively minor price pullback after reaching support or resistance. Observed after every pulse of the trend, the reason for the correction is unnecessary overbought or oversold condition of the asset (due to the correction the equilibrium price is achieved). To assess the depth of the correction analysis is used based on the Fibonacci levels. Strategies that are based on the correction (counter-trend trading) are considered high-risk.
